Sorry, this Yank brain exploded at the thought of corn on a pizza.
Then I wondered why Mexican chicken has two "x"s.
It's all a bit much, frankly. As for your 'yank brain', Camera Obscura, I rather wonder what the Italians would think. Interesting also that you are perturbed by the double 'x' and sweetcorn, but not by the combination of chicken, mushroom and banana.
